Which emails are linked to a team manager’s notification preferences?

You can set the notification preferences in the LMS per team manager under ‘Users > Teams’. There are different notification preferences which can be set to active or inactive per manager by clicking on the notification preference icon. A pop-up screen will appear in which you can set the following notification preferences:


The notification preferences for ‘Certificate expiration notifications’ and ‘Course deadline notification’ can be set to active or inactive for all the team managers in the academy under ‘Academy settings > Notifications’. This overwrites the individual preferences. If you select the option ‘Use individual preferences’, this can be set per team manager.


  • The notification ‘Certificate expiration notifications’ is linked to the email template ‘Manager: certificate expired’.

  • The notifications ‘Deadline notification’ are linked to the email templates ‘Manager: deadline for employee is approaching’ and ‘Manager: list of users that missed deadline’.

  • The notification ‘Qualification expiration’ is linked to the email template ‘Qualification expired (manager)’.

  • The ‘Request notifications’ are linked to the email templates ‘Manager: external offer requested by employee’, ‘Employee/manager: request for external offer sent to trainer’ and ‘Employee/manager: approval flow started.’
