How do I assign a survey to a user?

After publishing the survey, you can set up a trigger under settings. Triggers allow you to send surveys at specific times after a learning item is completed. There can be multiple triggers. This can be useful if you have created a general survey which can be used for multiple learning items. Creating a trigger is optional; you can also choose to assign the survey to users and/or teams from the ‘users’ overview. 

 

If you want to assign a survey manually to a (group of) employee(s), you can do so by selecting the employee(s) in question under 'People' > 'All users' in the LMS and then clicking 'Assign > Survey’. A new pop-up screen will be shown in which you can select the published survey that you want to assign.



Additionally, you can automatically assign a survey to an employee after completing a certain learning item.


Go to the 'Settings' tab in the survey overview and c lick on Add Trigger . In the screen that opens you can set which learning intervention is linked to the survey. By optionally adding a delay here, you can send the survey after a certain period of time. The available time units are hours, days, weeks, or immediately. In this example, the survey will be sent immediately.

Note: if you link a survey to an internal event, external offer, or in-company training via a trigger, the survey will be sent when the participant list is closed by the administrator of this training. You can find more information about this in the learning track 'Organising an internal event' in the Knowledge Academy.


Furthermore, it is also possible to generate a shareable link for a survey. This option allows you to share a survey with users without assigning it manually or via a trigger. Keep in mind that the survey can only be completed by users who have an active account on Studytube. You must therefore be logged in to complete a survey. You can find the shareable link by opening the overview of the evaluations and hovering over the relevant survey with your mouse. Then click on the 'more actions' button (3 dots that appear) so that you will see the option ‘Share link'.

When you click on ‘Share link' you will see a pop-up message with the link that you can copy and share with users.
